Being a Member of the CID

Besides the prestigious title of Member of the International Dance Council CID, you will be entitled to:

1. Receive letter of registration and a parchment for wall framing, as well as CID badges, stickers and presents.

2. Offer to your students the International Certification of Dance Studies, validating your teaching all over the world.

3. Nominate dance professionals for CID membership. Your students can become Youth Members of the CID.

4. Present your work at world congresses, festivals, workshops and other international events endorsed by the CID.

5. Be informed about opportunities such as scholarships, jobs, invitations to perform, to teach or to lecture, new publications etc. The CID Circular is mailed monthly to over 40,000 dance professionals in 200 countries.

6. Be listed with your full profile in the Global Dance Directory (over 400,000 addresses, by far the largest in the arts): www.CID-world.org/gdd

7. Send inquiries to the CID Secretariat, staffed by a dozen experienced professionals, operating 7 days a week.

8. Meet other Members and be part of a huge network of specialists in 180 countries.

9. Have a discount at events (workshops, festivals etc.) or publications by Members.

10. Apply to your country’s National Commissions for UNESCO, other government agencies or private sponsors to fund your travel abroad in order to represent your country.

11. Support applications for a visa to attend events endorsed by the CID.

12. Feature your articles and books at CID Writings. Publish your books under the auspices of the CID. www.Writings.Raftis.org

13. Post your events at the CID Panorama, the global website for dance events with millions of visitors: www.Panorama.CID-world.org

14. Found the Section of CID of your city.

15. Share the prestige of “the United Nations of Dance”, as CID is usually called. Remember CID is the only official organization for dance.
